I’ve just come back from a week drawing and painting Sennen Cove on Cornwall, and the surrounding area. It’s one of my favourite places and like a magnet that draws me to return again and again.

Up early the first morning, to catch the sunrise over the sea and hills. The sky was gold.

The sun came out again so I headed to the beach! I travelled light this time and just took my watercolours and graphite.

Another sunrise. This time, the sky was pink and lilac and the sea was metallic.

Ian and I walked to Nanjizal and saw a colony of seals in the still waters near the cliffs. The tide was in.
